@emil-read a little more carefully. His comment was that there is a notion that the Boise beer scene is just starting to emerge.
Not sure how rural of a town in Idaho Mr. Landermans is from.

His comment that "the beer scene (in Boise) is just starting to emerge" is insensitive to us, the breweries that are already here, and have been here for some time.
Good luck on your 10 bbl system!

One of our Brewers is opening a brewery in the Austin area,,,

He says the same thing about Texas, but at least here a Micro Brewery can sell it's fine brews to the general public and not be limited to a 3 oz. free sample as it seems the Texas law allows.

Excellent report. My wife recently returned from Oregon, including a stop in Portland, Bend and Medford, where we hit a number of Breweries (post can be found here: (http://www.lastmilelounge.com/2012/11/oregon-beer-tour.html) - although probably not as many as you guys. I am glad to hear Double Mountain was good. We were supposed to visit, but I was too wiped out from my marathon. FYI - I notice you live in Houston. My wife and I hold a gathering called The 12 Beers of Christmas (December 15). If you guys are interested, let me know (jamesdavid@sbcglobal.net).
